You may not hear many say that pizza delivery is something that they want to do for the rest of their lives, but there are some that really enjoy this type of work and keep it as an extra job when they move on to something else. Most who have jobs in pizza delivery start out doing this as a teenager, or when they are in college. What most don't realize is that you can make some really good money if you can get a good amount of pizza delivered each hour. Your money will quickly add up if you can get good tips, and if you don't have a large area in which to work. Though high gas prices have put something of a dent in what those who work in pizza delivery might make, some customers realize gas is expensive and give a bit more of a tip.
Pizza delivery jobs are not always safe, however. If you are a rather small woman, you may find that you have a hard time with people who may want to give your grief. This is when you protect yourself with pepper spray or some other legal form of protection. You should think about the neighborhood served by the company you are going to work for as well. If you know the place is simply not safe, especially after dark, you may want to find another place to do pizza delivery. Though most don't bother delivery people, there are occasionally stories of problems that you want to avoid.
On the flip side, there are ways to ensure your pizza delivery is on time and that your order is right. You may not realize it, but those that deliver your pizza do remember who tips well and who is kind to them. Those are the homes that will get their pizza first when someone takes out multiple orders at once. They may even tell others they work with if you are good house or not. When you want hot and quick pizza, be sure to be good to your pizza delivery driver. They rely on your tips to make a living, and they remember to take care of those that take care of them.
